While growing alongside your team, you can also explore opportunities offered through Cleveland Clinic, such as Imaging school and MRI, cat scan or ultrasound programs. **A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:00PM - 10:30PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology [e.g., routine radiology examinations, motion-free exams, portable/bedside examinations, fluoroscopy and invasive exams, OR and ED procedures and bone density procedures (DEXA)]. + Regulate and operate equipment. + Review prep information with patients, explain the procedure and obtain written consent. + Document pertinent clinical patient information, such as medical history and allergies. + Demonstrate a calm and understanding approach to ease any fear or anxiety. + Transport patients to and from the department/their room and contact nurses about patients who are connected to devices or monitors. + Interact, communicate and collaborate with nursing caregivers to obtain signed consent forms, assist with exams and prep and determine the length of time the patient will be in the department. + Check written orders from physicians before the procedure and document in the chart after the procedure. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) + Florida License as a General Radiographer (RAD) + Knowledge of federal and state regulations Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
