As an Radiology Technologist, you will be part of a knowledgeable family of caregivers that is constantly seeking ways to hone their skills in order to provide the best patient experience possible. While growing alongside your team, you can also explore opportunities offered through Cleveland Clinic, such as Imaging school and MRI, cat scan or ultrasound programs.
**A caregiver in this position works evenings from 2:00PM - 10:30PM.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Perform a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation to detect pathology [e.g., routine radiology examinations, motion-free exams, portable/bedside examinations, fluoroscopy and invasive exams, OR and ED procedures and bone density procedures (DEXA)].
+ Regulate and operate equipment.
+ Review prep information with patients, explain the procedure and obtain written consent.
+ Document pertinent clinical patient information, such as medical history and allergies.
+ Demonstrate a calm and understanding approach to ease any fear or anxiety.
+ Transport patients to and from the department/their room and contact nurses about patients who are connected to devices or monitors.
+ Interact, communicate and collaborate with nursing caregivers to obtain signed consent forms, assist with exams and prep and determine the length of time the patient will be in the department.
+ Check written orders from physicians before the procedure and document in the chart after the procedure.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
+ American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R)
+ Florida License as a General Radiographer (RAD)
+ Knowledge of federal and state regulations
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Two years of experience as an Imaging Technologist in an acute care imaging setting

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Frequent walking, sitting and standing
+ Frequent use of the phone, computer and fax machines
+ Frequent pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling and crouching
+ Working hours may exceed eight hours per day
