Job Description
Loading vehicles onto railcars and lock chock to grate. Unloading of vehicles from inbound railcars by removing ties and driving the unit off the railcar.Perform tasks necessary to prepare the railcar for loading such as bridge plate placement and removal, blow trash out of rail cars, lubrication, chock replacement, set and release rail car breaks, load processing or building loads shipment and other tasks as necessary to meet job requirements.Facility maintenance such as mowing, weed-eating, and trash pickup.Learns all rail loading task such as proper spacing within the rail and how to load and secure vehicles according to Nissan standards onto outbound railcars.Close and secure railcar doors prior to shipment.
Work Experience
Strong work history (including good attendance).Proficient ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.Good communication skillsMust have a valid driver's license and good driving record.Must possess the ability to drive a standard or manual transmission.Demonstrates the ability to carry out specified work procedures and follows directions of supervisors and lead persons.Must be physically able to safely lift 50 lbs at shoulder level, work within the confined spaces of a railcar and work at heights of 20 feet 2 inchesMust possess a high school diploma or equivalent/ GED.
