STV is currently seeking Rail Systems Field Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience for our Seattle, WA office to work on various field engineering tasks for the Sound Transit Eastlink/Lynnwood Link Extensions. You will be responsible for interfacing with the client vendors, contractors, and project administration.
Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers and Construction Engineers with project start-ups and various contract construction tasks. Conduct field engineering for technical conformance with contract requirements for civil/structural interfaces with system electrical components. Performs a variety of project tasks and duties for managing the flow of documents between internal and external partners, preparing engineering reports for the office, and helping to coordinate office’s participation in engineering and construction meetings. Review Project Documents and keep them up to date. Final processing of project documents: letters, drawings, reports, minutes, technical submittal review Assisting technical drawing review for project cost estimates Monitors the project construction from initiation to close out. Assist with compiling documentation for proper agencies for approval.Requirements:
Minimum of 12 years of experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.PE license required. Skills with Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with CAD and other software, and knowledge of construction processes such as project bidding and site installation. Field Engineering experience on transit construction project is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Must have a friendly nature, positive attitude and be a team player.
