Kimley-Horn's Los Angeles, California (CA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 4+ years of experience to join our growing Transit team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities The selected candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of transit and rail/track design projects with a particular focus on, but not limited to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects.Various tasks may include corridor concept development, assistance in public outreach, and transit evaluation.This role will require a high degree of multi-disciplinary coordination.Strong communication and organizational skills are critical. Qualifications A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent work experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Outgoing, self-motivated team player4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience including:Transit corridor design experience, focused on (but not limited to) BRT and LRT modesTrack/guideway designRoadway designStation design, including park-and-ride facilities Outgoing, self-motivated team playerHigh level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience communicating and working with clientsExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsOrganizational skills and detail-orientationAbility to balance priorities among multiple projects

Salary Range: 

$115,000 - $170,000
