As a Railyard Assistant Terminal Manager you will assist the Terminal Manager in all areas of the railyard operation including safety, administration, maintenance, train performance and productivity. A successful Assistant Terminal Manager possesses critical thinking, deadline driven, analytical, and communication skills to thrive in a rapid fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

Railyard Assistant Terminal Manager

Partners with Terminal Managers to ensure KPIs are met, Train Performance, Lifts per Hour & Cost per Hour, etc.Develops and drives existing staff to enhance Engagement & Retention within the Terminal Builds collaborative partnerships between ConGlobal and local railroad officers Acts as key point of contact between ConGlobal and our customersEnforces and upholds all ConGlobal rules, regulations, and policiesApproaches violations with care and administers disciplinary actions when requiredMonitors and approves terminal purchases for payment & manages purchases within budgetApproves weekly time & attendance and ensures data is accurate and timelyPartners with Talent Acquisition to ensure the Terminal is fully staffedOwns the Training and Orientation process of all employees to ensure their ongoing successProvides Terminal Metrics & Reports as neededOther duties as assigned (administrative & non-administrative)

Qualifications

 

Must have (3-5 years) Intermodal, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience1-3 years leadership experienceBachelor’s degree preferred or related experienceExceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skillsExcellent communication skills are mandatoryProficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of productsStrong Work EthicAvailability to work night shift10:00pm-10:00amWillingness to work in varying weather conditions
