As an Equipment Engineer in RAM (RDA (Real-time Defect Analysis) And Metrology) at Micron’s newest Fabrication facility you will be responsible for the installation, qualification, maintenance, and improvement of critical metrology equipment. You will own cutting edge semiconductor metrology equipment and drive improvements in that equipment. You will work with Manufacturing, Applications Engineering, Process Engineering, and the global manufacturing network to maintain and improve equipment to enable quantification and inspection of some of Micron’s newest technologies.
Responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Promote and enable a safe and positive working environmentOversees the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipmentProvides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.Investigate and root cause equipment abnormalities and drive improvements.Establish and improve methods of matching equipment across the fab network.Manage equipment vendor support for RAM equipment.Be able to present data and information to technical teams and management effectively.Manage equipment improvement projects.Mentor, lead, and/or collaborate with global equipment teams as the need arises.Develop new and maintain existing equipment and modification procedures, maintenance schedules, and training.Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issuesColloborate with technology development on bringing first of a kind equipment into high volume manufacturing.Successful candidates for this position will have:
Experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshootingAbility to analyze technical data, draw conclusions and present technical reportsExperience with 3D CAD modeling softwareKnowledge and/or practice with mechanical, electrical and software troubleshooting.Ability to establish and maintain project ownership from inception to integration & proliferationThe ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and drive them to a timely conclusionExperience in leadership or project management with multi-functional teamsExperience with supplier managementExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsAn understanding of safety including ergonomics, OSHA and safe design principlesExcellent grasp of mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentalsProficiency in statistics, SPC, data analysis, and design of experimentsHigh degree of self-initiative with an ability to think independentlyFlexibility to accommodate off-shift meetings in other time zonesRequired Education:
