Our Safety and Systems Assurance team is looking for a RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) Analyst to join our Burnaby office. Reporting to the Manager, Safety & Systems Assurance, the RAMS Analyst will be responsible for performing tasks related to the implementation of a RAMS program on large-scale projects in the public transport and rail sectors. The RAMS Analyst will define and propose the methods, analyses, and reports required for the successful execution of mandates within their field of expertise, including the development of plans as well as reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses.
Location – Burnaby, BC.
Your role within the team:
Provide high quality consultancy services to the rail industry in the field of Systems Assurance, RAMS, V&V
Contribute to developing strategies to grow the Safety and Assurance service offering.
Develop reliability and safety assurance plans, according to the project requirements.
Coordinate the inputs of the engineering teams needed to complete the RAMS studies.
Conduct reliability studies, including reliability block diagrams on complex systems.
Conduct maintainability studies, including MTTR calculations.
Carry out safety studies, including but not limited to: Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
Establishment and management of the Hazard Log for the project, including demonstration of hazard closure with proper evidence.

The ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in developing and documenting Safety and Assurance arguments across the complete asset / project lifecycle is considered an asset.
Excellent written, presentation and communication/briefing skills.
Excellent relationship skills, able to build trust and advocacy with others and engage staff and address issues effectively.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $54,000 - $91,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
