RAPID ACCESS UNIT SUPERVISOR

Behavioral Crisis Center

Springfield, Missouri

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rapid Access Unit Supervisor to join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the Rapid Access Unit, ensuring that clients receive high-quality care and services during times of crisis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human services, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for helping others.

The Rapid Access Unit Supervisor will be a leader in crisis services by offering support to clients and staff working in a 24/7 Behavioral Crisis Center. This position will allow the chosen candidate to gain experience in leadership, mental health, and recovery services.

***Key Responsibilities***

Supervise and Support Staff in the Rapid Access Unit

As a Rapid Access Unit Supervisor, you'll lead a team of dedicated professionals who provide top-notch care to our clients. You'll make sure your team has everything they need to succeed, offering guidance and support whenever they need it.

Keep Documentation in Order

You'll review and ensure that all documents are completed accurately and on time. This includes shift reports, incident reports, electronic health records, observation logs, and communication logs. Your attention to detail will help keep everything running smoothly.

Create a Safe and Supportive Environment

You'll foster a culture of safety and respect among both staff and clients. By setting a positive example and providing guidance, you'll encourage open communication and constructive feedback.

Manage and Motivate Your Team

You'll directly and indirectly supervise all staff and clients in the building. That means you'll be responsible for monitoring performance, evaluating progress, and providing feedback to help them grow and improve.

Be Prepared and Proactive

When you arrive at work, you'll be ready to tackle any task that comes your way. Whether it's creating staff schedules, conducting daily building inspections, leading team meetings, or serving as a safety officer, you'll always be on top of things.

Schedule and Approve Time Off

You'll generate staff schedules and approve replacements, overtime, vacation, and other absences. You'll also review and approve time cards to ensure everyone gets paid correctly.

On-Call Support When Needed

If something urgent comes up outside of regular business hours, you'll be there to help. As an on-call supervisor, you'll provide support to your team even when you're not physically present.

Maintain Our Facilities

You'll coordinate and maintain our buildings, ensuring they stay clean, well-maintained, and safe for everyone. From fixing broken equipment to arranging for repairs, you'll do whatever it takes to keep things running smoothly.

Answer Phones and Relay Messages

Sometimes, you'll assist with administrative tasks like answering phones, transferring calls, and passing along messages to the right people. It's all part of being a supportive leader!

Stay On Top of Incident Reporting

If someone on your team experiences an injury, you'll promptly gather incident reports and submit them to HR within 24 hours. Your diligence will help us address any issues quickly and prevent future accidents.

By taking on these responsibilities, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our Rapid Access Unit runs efficiently and provides exceptional care to our clients.

***Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities***

Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have a High School Diploma or GEDMust have experience in Human Services or related field;Prefer Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
