The Opportunity:
Gain hands-on experience operating and supporting UAS fixed-wing and rotary platforms. Work alongside experienced professionals in the filed of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS). Support real-world training and test event involving commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) UAS technology. Develop technical and analytical skills in UAS operations, maintenance, and intelligence gathering.

This role requires full-time, on-site presence at our Aberdeen Proving Ground facility in Maryland.


Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of multi-rotor and fixed-wing COTS UAS platformsSupport flight operations, including pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight proceduresParticipate in test and training events to evaluate UAS capabilitiesAssist in analyzing UAS data to support mission planning and operations improvementsWork with experienced professionals to understand safety and operational protocolsConduct research on emerging in UAS technologies and potential applicationsAssist in documentation and reporting on test results and operational findingsParticipate in team discussions to enhance UAS tactics and techniques



Qualifications:

Required: 

Must be a Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited degree program in Aviation, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related fieldMust have the ability to obtain and maintain required Secret clearanceStrong interest in UAS technology, aviation, or defense operationsAbility to learn and follow technical procedures and safety protocolsWillingness to travel for training and testing eventsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)




Desired:

Prior experience with UAS operation (hobbyist, academic, or professional)Familiarity with FAA UAS regulationsBasic knowledge of intelligence or defense operationsExperience with turbine propulsion systems

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,900 - 79,900 USD
