Job Summary
The Raw Material Operator is a dual responsibility position. The responsibilities include blending product according to quality and product specification sheets, customer satisfaction and company policies. The Raw Material Operator is also responsible to coordinate the flow of raw vegetables and substrate to the line. The Raw Material Operation shall be responsible for operating equipment associated with blenders, mushroom equipment, and zucchini equipment in an efficient and safe manner, while maintaining quality specifications and production standards set by each line.
Shifts Available: DAYS (6:00 AM-6:00 PM on a 2-2-3 rotation) or NIGHTS (6:00 PM-6:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotation). Shift differential available for night shift.
Job Functions
MIXING ROOM:
Order, Return and Issue items in SAP system
Understand the different formulas required per product protocol.
Efficiently operate, fill and empty the blender
Record and verify all raw materials accepted from the Material Handler.
Communicate mechanical issues with Supervisor and/or maintenance.
Verify routing information with batch sheet.
Direct and assist sanitation crew on their assigned equipment and work area.
Complete operator checklists and OAC
Operate, Barrel Hoist, Weigh Scales, Cheese Grinders, Column Dumper,
Train and direct personnel assigned to the mix room to maximize efficiency, increase productivity, assure formula adherence and increase employee morale.
Follow proper safety and GMP guidelines.
Follow, complete and return batch sheets and Standard Work Procedures.
Perform Sanitation duties
VEGGIE EQUIPMENT:
Fully understand and utilize the mushroom and zucchini equipment in accordance with the training manual and competency program.
Coordinate the activities of employees working to load product on the line to keep the front of the line running to maximize line efficiency.
Enter data in Infinity.
Add food additive (Calcium Chloride, Sodium Erythorbate, Garlic) to mix tank to prescribe concentration
Accurate and timely completion of required documentation.
Communicate operational problems with Production Supervisor, Line Leader, warehouse, and maintenance.
Order, issue, and return raw materials from current system
Operate the forklift.
Operate the aerial platform
Reconcile paperwork to match items brought to the line.
Perform sanitation on assigned equipment and work area.
Follow proper safety and GMP guidelines.
Check the Standard Operating Procedure daily to determine the necessary settings of the required machine that is in accordance with the product being run.
Prior to start-up, check for proper maintenance and sanitation set-up.
Set PLC according to product being produced.
Ensure that safety guards are in place.
Prior to scheduled start time, perform a test run.
Monitor production and “troubleshoot” as needed. Make any necessary adjustments to the machine so that we are meeting company standards and product specifications.
Perform sanitation on assigned equipment and work area.
Follow, complete and return Standard Work Procedures.

Working Conditions
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, food fumes, airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and loud noise levels.
Job Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, comprehends, and communicates in Basic English and interacts with all levels of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to analyze data and draw logical conclusions with minimal guidance, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Strong ability to work independently or/and with others.
Skills and Knowledge
1 to 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting operating machinery preferred.
Knowledge of sanitation on designated equipment.
Walkie rider & standup lift certified.
Maintain necessary lift truck operator certificate
Computer literacy
Maintain aerial platform recertification as required
