What you will be doing
As a Production Worker at our milk production facility, you will be involved in various stages of the milk processing and packaging operations. Your responsibilities will include operating machinery, monitoring production lines, performing quality checks, and ensuring that all products meet our strict standards for safety and freshness. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety regulations, and collaborating with your team to meet production goals. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality milk to consumers every day.
The position will be based in Hatfield, PA. The Schedule is second shift; Mon-Friday 2pm-10:30pm with occasional weekends and various hours as needed.
Job Description: Raw Receiving- 2nd Shift (w/Sat dayshift coverage.)
Essential duties and responsibilities
Responsible for unloading raw milk from tanker trucks and perform CIP process on tankers in a fast-paced environment. Place a high priority on food safety and sanitation by understanding and executing sanitation processes, including environmental cleaning, CIP and MSS tasks for the receiving bay and raw silo alcove area. Must always maintain and promote a safe working environment and have a safety-first mindset. Follow and maintain 5S standards for work areas and comply with company GMP standards. Pull necessary samples prior to unloading milk tanker holding the offloading process until clearance is given by the plant QA department. Must be able to obtain state milk sampler certification during the provided training window. Responsible for loading cream tankers ensuring accuracy of tanker load capacity. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Previous dairy experience is preferred but not required. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. Perform basic math with ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity depending on time of year Stand/ walk almost the entire workday. Frequent use of steps to access the top platform to access tops of tanker.
