What is the opportunity?

The Client Due Diligence Manager reports to and supports the Client Due Diligence Senior Manager to meet all required targets. The role holder is responsible for the coordination and management of client onboarding controls, partnering with Client Facing Teams (CFT) and the Intermediaries business as well as the AML team, the Client Service team, and the Second Line of Defence Enhanced Due Diligence team. This role is responsible for addressing BAU initiatives across the Northern and Southern regions.

What will you do?

Quality control AML data for periodic reviews – standard & low risk.

Manage pipeline of upcoming Core periodic reviews in conjunction with CSS team.

Partner with AML Advisory to deliver training and embed Client Due Diligence (CDD) standards across the Front Office.

Manage escalation process with AML Advisory on high-risk clients.

Responsible for overseeing Core AML dashboards.

Develop improvements to existing standards on AML / KYC controls in partnership with the 2nd line of defence.

Lead and influence client facing teams and monitoring teams to adapt practices in line with regulatory / legislative changes to AML / KYC processes.

Provide regular MI to leadership teams to ensure management remain aware of emerging and key risks / overdue reviews and relevant issues, along with a plan to address. MI should be developed and distributed to appropriate fora (i.e. Wealth Management Committee / Client Facing Risk Committee).

Drive and execute new AML business initiatives and projects that improve the client experience or controls.

Implement any AML regulatory requirements in partnership with 2nd line of defence.

Manage change requests needed to adhere to CDD standards impacting Core clients.

Ensure that data quality standards are established and maintained / identify data quality issues with a resolution path / lessons learned being developed, triaged, and tracked.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Proven experience within the financial services sector, ideally within a wealth management environment.

Worked in a regulatory space across multiple lines of business, understanding the requirements of both regulatory framework and the business.

Global regulatory experience with advantage of having worked in an AML role.

Experience in business controls with exposure to managing audit findings and raising / addressing self-identified issues appropriately.

Experience of collaborating across client facing, corporate functions and external parties to drive efficiency.

An understanding of end-to-end business processes and technological impact on these areas.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Nice-to-have

Experience in Onboarding, Enhanced Due Diligence, Screening, Sanctions, PEP and Adverse Media, Transactional Monitoring, offboarding / client exits.

Management experience.
