RCM Senior Specialist

Job Summary:

The Senior RCM Specialist assists with direction of activities of an assigned team, resolves moderately complex problems and is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of data generated by this function. Primary responsibilities include overseeing respective responsibilities of applicable RCM functions and will assist in mentoring, coaching and training of staff.

As a key member of the team:You are flexible and can embrace changeYou value progress over perfectionYou care about your work, the team you’re on, and the people we are helpingYou make it a priority to get to know the people around you – build relationships with your colleagues and business partnersYou say what needs to be said, while considering how it’ll affect culture and outputHold others to a high standard Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure that client data is accurately entered into the systemComplete tasks in accordance with payor requirements and agency policySupervise processes by maintaining complete and accurate recordsCommunicate with the state and managed care organizations for resolution of issues, if neededMake decisions and solve problems - analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.Administer, company and departmental policies and procedures and take appropriate actionsManage day to day issues and problems, escalating in a timely manner as necessaryAssist in monitoring reporting tools to track key performance indicators. Reports results, trends and potential issues to RCM Supervisor/ManagerResponsible for mentoring, coaching, training new and current employees to perform task and responsibilities more effectively and efficiently.Recommend policy and procedure changes after assessing and solving issues/concerns.Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:
 

Self-motivated; reliable; strong attention to details. Strong communication skills, oral and written.Excellent interpersonal skills; Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills under duress and in a fast pace; ability to function as a positive team member.Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED requiredTwo (2) + years’ experience of revenue cycle management required.#LI-LT1
