We are currently seeking a Reading Specialist who excels working with children with emotional support and behavioral health needs. This position will support both of our approved private school located at [655 Sugartown Road, Malvern, PA 19355]. The Reading Specialist position is Full Time, Monday-Friday, 41 week position which follows the school schedule.
Every day as a Reading Specialist you will:
Provide reading intervention services directly to students in individual and group settingsMaintain progress monitoring and data to support growth of studentsConduct screenings and provide diagnostic results of student's reading levels and needsAttend IEP meetings and report on student progressProvide consultation specific to reading instruction including modeling, observations and coaching to teachers and teacher's assistantsWork collaboratively with the leadership of the schools and the student's IEP team to provide a continuum of reading instructionYou will be offered:

QualificationsEDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Education and /or Special Education required. Pennsylvania Department of Education Reading Specialist Certification required. Wilson Reading System Level I Certification preferred or willingness to obtain Wilson certification.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in a school teaching environment required. Experience providing specially designed instruction preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to lead group meetings and interface with internal and external stakeholders.
