ANTICIPATED VACANCY 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR Probationary Reading Teacher Location: To Be Determined Must be NYS Reading K-12 Certified Key Responsibilities: + Design and implement effective reading instruction aligned with state standards and best practices. + Assess students’ reading abilities using formal and informal assessments to inform instruction. + Develop and deliver differentiated reading interventions for students at various skill levels. + Provide direct instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. + Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate literacy strategies across subjects. + Utilize data-driven decision-making to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed. + Engage families in literacy initiatives and provide resources to support reading at home. + Stay current with research-based literacy instruction and professional development. + Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students. + Wilson certification preferred.
