Position Summary
Under the direction of the Dispatch Manager will ensure timely delivery service and optimum fleet utilization based on cubic yards per driver hour. Must be able to learn and perform basic dispatching responsibilities.

Learn to type tickets to Ensure timely deliveryLearn to monitor jobs: determine if delivery rates are correct; if jobs can be started earlier, or where there are delays on PM jobsInform shop of trucks with mechanical problemsInform maintenance of plant problemsAssist Drivers in finding job sitesGet assistance to Drivers in emergenciesInform Customer Representatives of problems on jobs that need their expertise and/or assistanceWash out Drivers as early as possibleLearn to take orders for current day and/or future delivery as neededLearn to make moves or changes in orders for customersOther duties as requiredLearn to determine if order is in schedule for next dayLearn to verify with shop on number of trucks available for next dayInform Customer Representatives about problems with next days businessAttend safety meetingsWork to improve relations with customersOther duties as requiredMinimum Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalentAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited university or college.Experience in Ready Mix/Concrete or related industries.Experience in high volume call center settingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
