Real Estate Analyst
Description We are in search of a Real Estate Analyst to join one of our client's Commercial Real Estate teams, located in Chevy Chase, MD. The role involves underwriting Commercial Real Estate finance opportunities, assisting with financial modeling, analysis, and preliminary screening of prospective loan opportunities. Responsibilities: • Aid in the evaluation of financing requests to determine the credit quality of opportunities and suitable loan structures • Develop written summaries for loan committee review • Identify and evaluate key risks associated with a borrower’s financial performance, industry, and other influential factors • Analyze the impact of the guarantor's financial position on the Borrower's ability to service debt • Conduct industry research to understand trends that impact a company and the competitive environment in which it operates • Review proposed loan structures to determine if they are appropriate to sufficiently mitigate and manage risk • Formulate independent recommendations regarding credit risk supported by comprehensive analysis • Engage effectively and interact with all levels of management, Relationship Managers, Team Leaders, and related departments • Assist with loan portfolio management and monitoring. The ideal candidate for this Real Estate Analyst role will have 3+ years of commercial real estate financial modeling experience (office, industrial, multi-family), BS from a 4-year accredited university, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, advanced Excel skills and outstanding quantitative/qualitative analytical skills. The comp range for this position is 100K-120K + 10% bonus and full benefits. Requirements • Candidate should hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of a Real Estate Analyst or a similar position. • Proficiency in Commercial Real Estate is a must. • Experience in Real Estate Lending is required. • Knowledge of Residential Real Estate is essential. • Familiarity with Real Estate Finance is expected. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. • Strong skills in Financial Modeling are required. • Experience in Commercial Real Estate Investment is a must. • High level of Analytical Skills is expected. • Experience with Multifamily Properties is necessary. • Proficiency in Research Analysis is required. • Knowledge of Loan Structure is essential.
