Real Estate Asset Manager- Receiverships

Friedman Real Estate is seeking an experienced Real Estate Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of properties and work closely with the receiver in managing their duties and responsibilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that operational, financial, and strategic aspects of the properties are optimized. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of hands-on real estate experience, including some exposure to receiverships.

Property Oversight: Monitor the performance and condition of properties, ensuring they meet company goals and standards. Receivership Support: Assist the receiver in managing distressed assets, ensuring all operational, legal, and financial duties are carried out effectively. Reporting: Prepare and review regular asset reports, including performance, budgets, and financials. Present findings to stakeholders. Budget and Financial Review: Collaborate with finance teams to review and manage property budgets, forecasts, and operating expenses. Insurance Management: Ensure that proper insurance coverage is maintained for each property in the portfolio. Review policies and handle claims as needed. Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with the property and develop strategies to mitigate those risks (e.g., property damage, tenant defaults, liability concerns). Capital Projects: Assist in managing capital improvement projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget. Coordinate with contractors and vendors. Leasing: Work alongside leasing agents to ensure tenant satisfaction and retention. Review leasing strategies and execute leasing decisions as needed. Asset Disposition: Coordinate the sale or disposition of the property if necessary, ensuring that the sale process is legally compliant, well-executed, and in the best interest of stakeholders. Oversee the marketing of the property for sale or lease, engaging brokers and potential buyers or tenants as appropriate. Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise and manage any on-site staff, contractors, or third-party property management teams to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, real estate brokers, and other professionals involved in the receivership process.
