You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. This job is part of the General Accounting job function, responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of accounting processes and procedures. **The position is onsite at our CBRE office in New York, NY USA.** **What You'll Do:** + Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own field, and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Review and approve complex financial packages before releasing to internal departments and external clients. + Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. + Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department. + Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job team. + Serve as a liaison between accounting personnel, management, external investors, and customers. Form relationships with key shareholders and leaders to ensure objectives are being met. + Approve annual department budgets and review various financial reports, department reports, and other accounting documents for accuracy and present findings to upper management. + Suggest consulting opportunities based on understanding of the department's pricing platform. Create pricing estimates for new business opportunities and ensure monthly pricing allocations are correct and services are up to date. + Coordinate internal and external property and client transitions and external audits. + Verify client fees are accurate according to the rules in the Management Agreement. + Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities and establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set and track staff and department timelines. Mentor and coach as needed. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Familiarity with Argus, MRI, and SAP software is highly preferred. + Prior management experience required. + Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. + Ability to exchange and explain complex and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues. + Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas, and department. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Intermediate math skills. The minimum salary for theReal Estate Controlleris $155,000 annually and the maximum salary is $165,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
