ResponsibilitiesKimley-Horn is seeking a talented 3D Visualization Artist with expertise in real-time gaming technology to join our Broomfield, Colorado office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to create highly detailed, photorealistic, and interactive 3D models for civil engineering projects. We are looking for an artist who excels at transforming complex engineering designs into immersive, real-time 3D experiences, allowing clients to interact with infrastructure projects in dynamic, engaging ways. Your work will help enhance project communication and client engagement using cutting-edge visualization techniques. In this role you will:
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project teams to develop interactive, photorealistic 3D models and immersive environments using real-time gaming technology for civil engineering projects
• Create 3D assets, environments, and full scenes focused on infrastructure and urban development
• Utilize real-time engines (such as Unreal Engine or Unity) to produce dynamic, high-fidelity visualizations, simulations, and animations for civil engineering applications
• Develop interactive 3D models that allow clients to explore and understand complex civil projects, including transportation networks, urban developments, and public infrastructure
• Create photorealistic textures, materials, and lighting, ensuring accurate representation of civil engineering elements and environmental context
• Produce animations, virtual walkthroughs, and virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) experiences to effectively communicate design intent to clients
• Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, delivering high-quality visual outputs that meet or exceed client expectations
• Collaborate with team members to solve creative visualization challenges and bring innovative solutions to the civil engineering space
• Ensure all visualizations align with Kimley-Horn's brand standards and client guidelines
• 0-3 years of professional experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong artistic and technical skills with a deep understanding of photorealism, composition, lighting, and detail
• Proficiency in real-time 3D platforms such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar, with experience in 3DS Max, Civil3D, Revit, Sketchup or other visualization tools

Salary Range:
• $65,000 - $82,000
• Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
