As an intern within the Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Yield Technology team at Micron, you will learn about state-of-the-art semiconductor processing and defect detection equipment and techniques. You will learn to troubleshoot and solve defect problems in a fact-paced, advanced memory research & development setting. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about problem solving, who will drive actions to root-cause defect understanding, and who are self-motivated.
As an RDA intern, your ideas and work will impact the team globally. You will be working on a project that supports experimentation, data analysis, baseline health metrics, and systematic and random defect improvement through partnering with other engineers in R&D and High Volume Manufacturing.
Qualifications
Proactive and passionate about learning (training and coursework)We need an engineer who is drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutionsWe need someone who will investigate process anomalies, root cause analysis and correlationsProven combination of flexibility and tenacity in the pursuit of goalsIdeal candidate has a fundamental understanding of statistics and methods associated with DOE analysisFamiliarity and experience with data science and data manipulation techniques is a plus (scripting, coding, Python, JMP, SQL)Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication techniques and processing steps is a plusExcellent technical, communication, and analytical skillsGood verbal and written English communication skillsResponsibilities
Reviewing and analyzing experimental process flows looking for defect anomalies and quarantining process tools that are out of controlPossess a continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference todayRecognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with the motivation of "who needs to know this now?"Use inline defect signals and analysis to drive process improvementsWork with new inspection tools and strategies to drive towards earlier detection of problems and identify the sourcesWe expect active participation and presentation in technical meetingsEducation
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field preferred.
