Summary About the Position: Serves as a Realty Specialist providing technical guidance and assistance on all real estate matters in connection with the leasing, licensing, permitting and granting of rights-of-way of government owned lands, acquisition of lands, easements, rights-of-way, relocations, and disposal areas (LERRD) for Local Cooperation Projects. Responsibilities Planning and Acquisition of real property through fee, easement, exchange, in-lease, or permits on behalf of the Army and other Federal Agencies Processing title evidence contract requirements for the acquisition of land(s) Performing Non-Federal Sponsor oversight to ensure compliance with current real estate regulations and guidance Applies a wide range of real estate principles, concepts and practices when meeting with State and County officials and provide technical guidance and assistance on all real estate matters Review policy directives, regulatory and other guidance received from higher authority to determine impact and supply guidance to staff Research / examines internal records to determine Government owned or leased properties within the Districts civil and military boundaries Ensures early identification and resolution of outstanding policy, technical and partner issues as they arise in order to avoid potential conflicts Research Segment Maps and Land Tract data / material and coordinates information with the District office and field personnel in writing and via Teams Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. To qualify for this position you must meet the qualification requirement listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning and Acquisition of real property through fee, easement, exchange, in-lease, or permits on behalf of the Army and other Federal Agencies; 2) Processing title evidence contract requirements for the acquisition of land(s); and 3) Performing Non-Federal Sponsor oversight to ensure compliance with current real estate regulations and guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
