About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and-operated manufacturing center located in New York. Responsibilities Performs administrative duties such as: gathers and reviews a variety of narrative and/or statistical data to prepare reports; conducts analyses of data to support conclusions or recommendations for action. The employee plans and carries out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in the work assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices in the occupation. The employee uses judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines, such as agency policies, regulations, precedents, and work directions, for application to specific cases or problems. The employee analyzes results and recommends changes. Initiates, coordinates, staffs and documents approval of appropriate documentation for the acquisition of land interest to include leased space permits, rights-of-way, rights-of-entry, leases and licenses from various sources. Responsible for managing, classifying and analyzing the utilization of real property to obtain its highest and best use and for preparing appropriate space utilization reports. Qualifications: To qualify, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: GS-07 Specialized Experience: (1) Communicating with others to document changes in a facility or space usage or condition; and (2) Utilizing automated systems to organize information for a variety of administrative duties such as, briefings and/or presentation documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above.
