What You'll Do Responsible for converting contract drawings design data for concrete reinforcement into specific placing drawings through the use of AutoCAD for large commercial projects such as high rises and tilt ups Prepare detailed placing drawings and fabrication lists for ironworkers at the job site to install the reinforcing bars within the requirements of the engineering design Maintain communication with the CMC project manager assigned to the jobs for submittal & delivery schedules, RFI’s, change orders and attend planning meetings Ensure that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained Participate in CMC's Safety Culture and Training on a regular basis Be a part of a great team of individuals and grow your career What You'll Need Ability to review and interpret contract documents for advanced projects A good understanding of CRSI and detailing standards of practice Experience with Rebar Detailing Programs, preferably Autodesk/Bentley CAD/aSa/Tekla platforms preferred Understand project scope and sales documentation Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve unique problems Ability to use MS Excel & MS Outlook High level of attention to detail and focus with a commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently Familiarity with concrete accessories, couplers, WWF mesh is a plus Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English Must be able to visualize three dimensionally (spatial visualization) Experienced knowledge of rebar bend types, shapes, size, and applications for reinforced concrete Experienced knowledge of structural concrete members and building systems Your Education Experience detailing or estimating rebar Certificate / Training in CAD draftingWe are Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune 500 company with a family feel that’s already part of your life.
