BASIC PURPOSE:Check inbound product against receiving paperwork to insure that product matches order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly. Also ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements. This helps maintain accurate inventory records and makes sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high quality product.

Main Ingredients of the Job:
As a US FOODS® Receiver you will be responsible for checking inbound product against receiving paperwork to ensure that products match the order in quantity, pack size, and are labeled accordingly. Also, you will ensure product conditions meet acceptable government and company requirements. This helps maintain accurate inventory records and makes sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high-quality product.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am-4:30pm
Great Receivers are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Receivers strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with team members.
What you bring to the table:
Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection, and inventory tracking.Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA, and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.Education/Training:
High School Diploma/ requiredRelated Experience/Requirements:
A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required; previous comparable warehouse experience preferredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Able to read & write legibly; basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); good verbal communication skills; basic computer skillsYour efforts as a Receiver the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.
