_Adecco is assisting a local customer in East Hartford, CT in hiring a Shipping and Receiving Associate to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with a pay $18.25 per hour._
_We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the receiving processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety standards._
_Key Responsibilities:_
_- Receiving:_
+ _Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage._
+ _Verify received goods against purchase orders or invoices using SAP systems._
+ _Ensure proper storage of received items according to company standards._
+ _Utilize UPS and FedEx systems for shipping tasks, including scheduling pickups and coordinating logistics._
_- Handling Equipment:_
+ _Use manual pallet jacks for moving materials within the facility._ _- Safety and Compliance:_
+ _Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent injury and damage to goods._
+ _Keep the receiving area clean organized._
_- Technology Proficiency:_
+ _Proficient use of SAP for inventory management._
_- Physical Demands:_
+ _Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly._
+ _Stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements._
_Qualifications:_
+ _Previous experience in receiving, preferably with exposure to SAP._
+ _Familiarity with shipping and logistics preferred._
+ _Excellent organizational and time-management skills._
+ _Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and shipping._
+ _Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision._
+ _Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn new systems quickly._
+ _Must be a US citizen and able to pass a background._
**Pay Details:** $18.25 per hour
