Receiver – This is a union position.

Candidates must be available to work within the hours directed by the store director to serve our guests during peak business time periods and within the schedules of the collective bargaining agreement.  

  

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to must embrace, provide, and lead dominant guest satisfaction at all times. 

Effectively maintain backroom standards aligned with CSEP guidelines. 

Receive and unload delivered merchandise and use required equipment, 

Including manual or electric pallet jack and forklift in a manner consistent with company safety regulations. 

Verify accuracy of delivery by count. 

Check received merchandise for quality, freshness, and code date and check for damage, infestation, and sanitation to reduce shrinkage. 

Operate baler and load bales onto trailers for credit along with pallets. 

Maintain safe, orderly, and clean storage areas, and organize products. 

Storage for easy and safe access. 

Follow company policy regarding back-room security. 

Embrace shrink free environment. 

Transport merchandise to proper storage area. 

Handle, sort, and store damaged merchandise according to warehouse and 

outside vendor, and separate damaged shop back merchandise. 

Collaborate and work well with other teammates. 

Perform other duties as assigned by the store director. 

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS  

A willingness to demonstrate a strong orientation toward work, for example, reliable attendance, good performance, and a desire to learn. 

Ability to readily adapt to changes in work schedules, specifications, and work priorities. 

Knowledge of safe work practices. 

Ability to learn, understand, and apply safe lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques. 

Must be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment including compactors, balers, manual and electric pallet jacks, and forklifts. 

If operating forklift, must be forklift certified (pit certified). 

Received “dominate guest satisfaction training. 

Be able to work at any location in the district. 

Received all necessary certifications. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

 

Involves repetitive tasks. 

Ability to move cases of merchandise. 

Cold temperatures in winter.
