Responsibilities
Position Overview:
The Receiving Clerk position is responsible for the reception, inspection, documentation, and storing of all products received at the facility. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods for production and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
Physically offloading and receiving shipments ensuring they are in acceptable condition and signing for deliveries when applicable.Receive shipments based on the provided packing slips checking for damage, defects, or discrepancies in quantity.Properly document the product that has been received being sure to denote important information such as quantity, part numbers, product location, and the date the shipment was received.Store the received product in designated locations ensuring that the product is organized and accessible for order pickers.Work in coordination with the Product Design Engineer to ensure fabricated parts that are received meet the specifications provided to the vendors.Cross-train in other warehouse roles including, but not limited to, order picking and inventory control to maintain a flexible and well-rounded workforce.Other duties may be assigned in conjunction with current responsibilities if appropriate.
Work Environment:
A fast-paced warehouse environment which requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time. Personal protective equipment may be required when performing particular tasks.
