Receiving Clerk - Hilton Columbus Downtown

The Purchasing Team at the Hilton Columbus Downtown is currently seeking a Receiving Clerk to work at our award-winning property. 

\n

A Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and processing all purchase orders and invoices. Assists in daily receiving of deliveries from vendors and deliveries to kitchens as well as other areas of the hotel. Maintains an accurate inventory with the food and beverage supervisors, assists with keeping up cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas.

What will I be doing?

\n\n\nReceive all non-guest deliveries to the hotel. Ensure quality/quantity checks (checking temperatures, weights, freshness, rejecting products which don’t pass inspection.)\n\n\nAll received product delivered to appropriate destination promptly and efficiently, ensuring items are stacked in a safe and orderly fashion and safe use of equipment.\n\n\nFulfill internal requisitions for beverage orders – communicate to Buyer(s) when products need to be ordered\n\n\n\nEnsure accuracy and timeliness of all invoice and purchase order processing.  Maintain vendor bids where necessary\n\n\n\n\n\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom areas – rotating product correctly and keeping track of product freshness where appropriate.  Daily sweeping and mopping of coolers, freezer and storeroom floors.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMaintain all vendor bids and price accuracy.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDemonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency\n\n\n\n
