Job Description

 

Summary

The Receiving Inspector II performs inspection of purchased parts, materials, components and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors.

Position Responsibilities

Conducts detailed dimensional and visual inspections on critical parts, assemblies, and raw material, including first piece, in-process, incoming, and final. Inspection involves using tools such as; calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparator, and moreWorks from drawings, sketches and specifications. Adapts inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessaryDocuments inspection findings and produces the necessary documentation/reports, establishing acceptance or rejectionDetermines or assists in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspectionWorks on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendationsOther duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Vocational school or Technical training is preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMinimum 2 – 4 years of mechanical inspection experienceDemonstrated knowledge of the requirements, maintenance, and implementation of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 guidelines requiredExperienced using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges and optical comparatorThis position requires traveling to the supplier sites within 100 milesMust have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Physical Demands

The salary range for this role is:

$23 - $32
