A Receiving Lead job in Tacoma, Washington is available at Milgard Windows and Doors at our Distribution Center. You must have two-plus years of relevant experience with incoming inventory, along with exposure to operating a Forklift. In this role, you will assist in the work activities of the department employees. You will be responsible for receiving and inspecting all goods and materials, both raw material and finished goods. You will also help distribute deliveries within the Plant to their respective departments.

The hourly compensation range is between $26.81 - $32.50, depending on experience.

Receive raw material and verify against the packing slip. Accurate code received goods to a proper account. Supply material as needed and/or requested to the production line, and other departments may require a forklift. Assist the Shift Supervisor in seeing that all delivery orders are complete to the respective employees or departments. Assists personnel in analyzing and correcting problems encountered in job assignments to perform work according to standard operating procedures. Assist in preparation for and completion of plant inventory. Demonstrate Milgard’s Core Values in all business interactions. Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment

Lead continuous improvement.

 File freight claims.

 Develop and maintain standard work and work instructions.

 Assign receivers to cover planned deliveries.

 Assign staffing for Vinyl and Pultrusion locations.

Requirements:

Two years of incoming inventory/materials experience in a manufacturing setting Forklift experience with the ability to obtain certification onsite is required. Glass handling and/or glass knowledge preferred. Prior supervisory experience mentoring and motivating a team of individuals. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
