**Job Title: Receiving Material Handler 1st Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a Receiving Material Handler for the 1st shift who can efficiently unload merchandise using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand. The ideal candidate will stage inbound merchandise in the scanning area, verify pallet counts, and sign freight bills of lading. **Responsibilities** + Operate a handheld scanner. + Identify and sort merchandise by department. + Place the correct receiving label on the product. + Restack and wrap products to prepare merchandise for transport and stocking. + Communicate overages, shortages, and/or damages to the Supervisor. + Deliver scanned merchandise to appropriate staging areas throughout the warehouse. + Meet quality and productivity standards. + Take direction from the Supervisor. + Maintain excellent attendance and reliable predictability. + Adhere to DC housekeeping guidelines. **Essential Skills** + Experience with forklift operation. + Proficiency in using RF scanners. + Material handling skills. + Experience with pallet jacks. + Ability to unload merchandise. + Experience with sit-down forklifts. + Inventory management skills. + Shipping experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School diploma preferred. + Commitment to a high standard of safety and compliance with all safety policies and practices. + Excellent attendance record. + Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed. + Good comprehension, organizational, and math skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to interact effectively with other departments and all levels of management. + Ability to maintain accurate records and demonstrate problem-solving skills. + Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. + Team player with a can-do attitude. + Power Equipment certification is a plus. + Must be able to read, write, and speak English. **Why Work Here?** We offer employee appreciation events, direct hire status after 480 hours, shift differential provided once direct, and continuous and consistent raise opportunities. **Work Environment** The work environment includes operating forklifts and using RF scanners in a warehouse setting.
