Receiving Supervisor

The Receiving Supervisor provides supervision and guidance to ensure site and employee performance are following company standards. The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for relationship management with internal/external customers and partners and will actively participate in the ongoing implementation of Lean Manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Enhance product workflow by implementing SIOP plans that impact production, distribution, and inventory, develop underperforming areas, and roll out improvements that resolve problems.Perform PFEP analysis quarterly and make market changes as needed.Responsible for managing processes and procedures in the receiving department. Ensures that goods are verified against records of shipment. Supervise the maintenance of records of damaged or defective items and discrepancies in quantities and weights, and records time, date, quantity, source, and destination of materials received or shipped.Maintains score cards with selected suppliers.Ensure all tools are regularly updated with most recent documents and information. Provide metrics and executes analysis used for decision making by upper management.Evaluates receiving priorities and product allocations to support customer orders and internal requests.Interacts with peers in Manufacturing, Production Planning, and Finance to optimize systems and procedures and resolve delivery related problems.Acquires and maintains a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in company products.Ensure Quality Assurance procedures for inbound shipments are being followedMaintain an orderly and neat stock and receiving area.Assist to solve problems and make informed decisions affecting service and productivity of receiving area.Train staff to handle, sort and maintain stock and related problems.Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.

Required Experience and/or Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.6 + years progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in the discipline/technology/process related to the position.Outstanding PC/Systems knowledge and skills.Strong leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of employees, customers, and outside professionals.Behavior and experience demonstrated with results for:Understanding of market dynamics and financial implications for strategic decisions.Leadership style supportive of team and group communication and relationships with peers and customers.Leadership by example via energy level, diligence, aggressiveness, and overall work ethic.Ability to work within a high velocity, autonomous and demanding business culture.Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics and conduct.
