Receiving Warehouse Operator/Turret Driver - 2nd shift

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Turret Driver will operate the swing reach truck and handle putaway and replenishment out of the high rack warehouse. This involves gaining the understanding of dual controls with multiple hand/finger functions as well as the activation and de-activation of the wire guided control. The position will remove materials from high rack storage, stage in the P&D area, and perform the required WM system transaction using the RF scanning equipment. He/She must be able to operate all equipment (Stand-up reach truck, counter balance sit-down, and pacer trucks) in an efficient manor based on established KPI standards for equipment. The driver will perform all inventory transactions utilizing a Radio Frequency handheld terminal. The driver will perform item and location inquiries and quantity overrides, verify incoming finished goods, confirm replenishment moves, putaway moves, pallet consolidation, and put-backs; and problem solve inventory issues. He/She will complete required documents such as correction sheets, part carton labels, and write up damages. The driver will trouble shoot problem pallets by verifying paperwork or breaking down pallets to resolve the issue. This position will work with the inventory department to conduct cycle counts and location verification counts utilizing RF scanners.

Skills / Competencies:

1.      High School Diploma or secondary GED desired.

2.     Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet on a platform connected with a harness only.

3.     Must be ambidextrous with both hands and feet.

4.     Must be able to work in above average temperatures.

5.     At least two years experience operating a Raymond reach truck with no accidents or safety violations recorded.

6.     The ability to deal with confinement on swing reach trucks and narrow aisles for extended periods.

7.     Good mathematical, computer, and inventory skills with an understanding of warehouse operations in order to resolve issues.

8.     Must be able to lift up to 50lbs over an extended period of time.

9.     Must be able to work overtime and long hours when required, including weekends.

10.   Must be willing to work with hazardous materials and be trained to understand all regulations and procedures concerning hazardous material.

11.   Receive training in 40CFR 262.17 as applicable in the role.
