The Salvation Army’s South End Corps is hiring a Receptionist and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location:  1500 Washington Street, Boston

Pay Rate:   $15/hr

Hours:  25 hrs/week (Monday-Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Degree or equivalentOne to two years' experience preferredProfessional demeanor and excellent phone skillsBasic knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

 

Maintain the image of The Salvation Army to the public and clients through assigned responsibilities for greeting and directing all visitors, either in person or on the phone

Answer phone calls in a courteous manner and properly route all phone calls and taking messages when appropriateVerify appointments of visitors and admit only authorized persons.Monitor foot traffic and guide individuals to proper locations within the buildingMaintain files of general Corps business and keep reception are in good orderMaintain office supply inventory and process orders as requested.Sort and route all incoming mail and process all outgoing mail Sign for deliveries and make sure receiving individual is notifiedAssist with clerical duties as requested – printing, typing, copying, filing, stamping, etcRefer persons with spiritual needs to The Salvation Army officer.Perform other related duties as requested
