We are currently seeking a Receptionist for our growing Birmingham/Tuscaloosa division Our Receptionists answer phones, assist callers, greet visitors and customers, as well as perform other administrative tasks. They are generally the first point of contact at our division offices and set the tone for the customer's experience in our office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet office visitors; notify appropriate parties of their guests' arrivalAnswer all incoming calls timely, routing them to the appropriate department or individual; assist callers with general questionsRetrieve and distribute messages from the general voicemailboxManage mail distribution - receive, open, date stamp, and replenish postage meter when funds are lowMaintain appearance of the lobby, reception desk, kitchen, and conference rooms - ensuring they are neat, tidy, and ready for first impressionsPost all outgoing US Mail. Receptionists work in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels. Candidates should be comfortable frequently communicating with visitors and colleagues face-to-face, over the phone, or through electronic means. Candidates should be able to sit for the majority of an 8-hour work-day as well as possess the ability to traverse across the office; use hands to handle or feel objects and reach; possess close and peripheral vision; and be able to speak and hear.
