POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists HR department in carrying out various human resources programs. Receives calls and visitors at establishment, determines nature of business, and directs caller to destination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Answers phone calls.
· Administers visitors’ log.
· Completes employee job cards.
· Distributes incoming faxes.
· Assists HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
· Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
· Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.
· Assists with special events for staff.
· Assists with plant safety effort.
· Back up for HR manager duties.
· Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
· Coordinate department activities
· Coordinate applicable collection, copying, and distribution of department documents.
· Other duties may be assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Administrative assistant or a related field preferred.
· One to two years' experience.
· The ability to research and analyze various-different type of data information.
· Ability to organize and prioritize work.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
· Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
· Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole, fractional, and decimal numbers.
REASONING ABILITY:
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
· Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Skills and accurate data entry skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
· The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant.
· Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM .
· Job may occasionally have overtime.
· Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
