Description Job Summary Robert Half is seeking a professional and personable Receptionist to join our client’s team in St. Charles, IL. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering an hourly rate of $19.00. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, handling front desk responsibilities, and providing administrative support for the office. Key Responsibilities + Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk and act as the first point of contact, warmly greeting visitors, clients, and employees. + Phone Support: Answer, screen, and direct phone calls promptly, while addressing inquiries or taking detailed messages. + Scheduling Assistance: Maintain calendars for conference rooms, meetings, and appointments as requested by team members. + Clerical Support: Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and preparing documents as needed. + Mail & Deliveries: Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including courier deliveries, and ensure timely distribution. + Office Organization: Help maintain a tidy and organized office environment, ensuring common areas are presentable. + Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service to visitors and assist with inquiries or concerns in-person and over the phone. + Supply Management: Monitor and maintain office supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure the office runs smoothly. + Cross-functional Assistance: Support other departments with events, projects, or administrative duties as needed. Requirements Qualifications + Education: High school diploma or GED required, additional education in office administration or a related field is a plus. + Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience with phone systems and scheduling software is a plus. + Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. + Customer Service: Positive and professional demeanor with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients and team members.
