Receptionist
Description We are in search of a Receptionist to join our Non-Profit organization. In this role, you will be tasked with handling a variety of administrative duties, including but not limited to answering calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and customers in a detail oriented manner. • Efficiently manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff. • Schedule appointments and update the calendar accordingly. • Conduct various clerical tasks like faxing, filing, and maintaining an organized workspace. • Ensure effective use of Microsoft Office for administrative tasks. • Responsible for managing and updating customer records accurately. • Multitask effectively to ensure smooth operations within the office. Requirements • Candidate must possess general skills such as good communication, organization, and multitasking. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required for document creation and editing. • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook is needed for managing emails and scheduling appointments. • Experience in a receptionist role, preferably in a non-profit setting, is desirable. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Strong customer service skills to interact with visitors, volunteers, and staff. • High school diploma or equivalent education level. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to manage multiple lines. • Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines and photocopiers. • Willingness to assist with other administrative tasks as needed. • Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. • Familiarity with non-profit organizations and their operations is a plus. • Bilingual or multilingual skills would be advantageous. • Availability to work during standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend shifts.
