JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE The Clerical assistant provides general and specific clerical support to the departments to which they are assigned in order to maintain an efficient office environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Answers telephone, e-mails, and replies to questions accordingly. + Maintains informational and/or operational documents. + Establishes and maintains cooperative and harmonious working relationships with program staff, workers, families of clients, business agencies, office vendors, and general public. + Assists with filing and administrative tasks. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: + Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications EDUCATION: + High school diploma (or GED / High School Equivalence Certificate). EXPERIENCE: + General office, administration and/or clerical experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Working towards an Associate or Bachelor-s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. + 6 months of general office, administration and/or clerical experience or in a course of study that requires attention to detail. + Bilingual in English and Spanish (Written and verbal). + Knowledge of office procedures. + Ability to accurately and effectively compose correspondence and reports.
