Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Receptionist at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Full-Time Receptionist to join our team. Under general supervision, represents facility as initial contact for prospective clients and the public. Answers telephones, greets, and routes walk-in guests and performs light clerical duties to support the daily business activities of the location. Acts as liaison between internal and external customers, ensuring all requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
Professionally, accurately, and warmly greet, engage and announce all guests who enter the Executive Offices.
Politely assist unfamiliar guests to help resolve any challenges they may have.
Escort guests, non-NRG Park staff members, to their respective hosts office upon arrival to the Executive Office.
Be friendly and helpful to guests entering the executive lobby that may have questions.
Courteously and professionally answer the telephone in a timely manner; routing calls and be friendly and helpful when responding to questions from callers. Record specific details from callers as needed.
Check emails for updated event overviews and ticket announcements and orient yourself with the timelines for all events taking place.
Reference and close out any notes left by the Part-Time Receptionists from weekend hours.
Address any questions or issues in real time with the Guest Experience Management team to provide direct, in the moment results.
Coordinate with the Executive Administrative Assistant to manage the schedules of the large and small boardroom.
Maintain a digital visitor log of all guests and non-staff entrants to the Executive Office
Assist with any Microsoft Teams or Smartsheet related tasks as needed.
Be proficient in the parkwide work order system to assist with work requests in the Executive Office.
Maintain an adequate stock of office supplies, coordinating with the Purchasing Manager and team to establish consistent refill schedules for frequently used items.
Maintain supply of all kitchen items (utensils, cups, coffee supplies).
Coordinate cleaning of refrigerator monthly to avoid unnecessary food spoilage and odors.
Provide information to callers concerning events at NRG Park.
Collect, sort, and distribute any deliveries & messages in a timely manner.
Assist with event operations, special projects, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as time permits.
Assist staff members with light clerical tasks, such as typing and mailings as time permits.
Train in emergency procedures.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Use a multi-line telephone system to answer and transfer calls in a professional manner.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED.
(3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality that involves handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Convey strong verbal & interpersonal skills.
Must be exceedingly well organized.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Computer Skills
Operate and be proficient utilizing standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Microsoft Teams and Smartsheet applications preferred.
Other Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
Handle pressure associated with heavy volume telephone traffic to various departments.
