Receptionist I
**Description** **_$14.37 - $17.96 Per Hour_** + Greets visitors, vendors, employees, applicants and customers at arrival in a pleasant and welcoming manner. Informs appropriate person of guest's arrival. Provides assistance to guests as necessary. + Maintains a running log of each guest, badge issued, and time of arrival and departure to ensure the safety of the Cooperatives. When badges are not returned, notifies the proper point of contact to deactivate the missing badge. + Answers incoming telephone calls on a computer-based telephone system and forwards all calls to the proper division, department, or person. Takes messages for those not available and delivers those messages either by telephone, e-mail, or voicemail. + Provides guest services in a manner that emphasizes the cooperative spirit, outstanding customer service, courtesy and timeliness. + Maintains a broad and up to date knowledge of the organizations, divisions, departments and employees in order to assure prompt, reliable and courteous service to visitors, callers and cooperative employees. Stays abreast of daily cooperative functions and provides assistance and information, as needed. + Provides training on receptionist job functions and duties to have relief, as necessary. + Provides administrative support to the HR division including data entry, project management, and employee social event execution. + The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position. + Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications + High School diploma or GED + Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems + Excellent verbal communication skills + Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Associates Degree Basic Microsoft Office certification in Word and Excel **ADDITIONAL INFORMATION** Maintain the confidentiality in all Human Resources Department activities in order to protect the privacy of employees and management. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Ability to multi-task, organize and change directives quickly and efficiently. Ability to work with a team and independently and sit for prolonged periods of time. Competent and professional in both written and verbal communications with internal or external customers. Strong technical aptitude: able to learn HRIS reporting system and provide additional support as needed. Professional appearance and a pleasant demeanor along with the ability to remain calm under pressure, required.
