We are a full-service, small animal hospital that sees wellness, urgent and emergency cases daily. Our doctor team consists of three medical doctors currently with a new doctor joining our team in July and plans to continue to grow. The goal for our patients daily is to offer the very best care and get answers for their owners; our reputation in the area is outstanding. We have been established in Flower Mound for 36 years and obtained our AAHA certification in 1998. We are located just north of Dallas and Fort Worth in the beautiful town of Flower Mound TX, voted "2023 Best Place to Live in Texas" as well as "2023 Safest Town in Texas." We are a fully equipped hospital with electronic medical records, a full in-house lab, ultrasound, digital radiography, Cardell monitors, and all the equipment needed to achieve full diagnostics. We are thrilled to have a boarded surgeon and cardiologist that come to Main Street regularly to offer additional advanced care. Our team lives the core values this hospital is built on, we are known for wonderful service for our clients, and the best medicine for their pets. As a Receptionist you will: Receive and place calls to clients for the purpose of scheduling, updating, etc. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, i.e. immunization records, medical concerns where necessary, etc. Assist all clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices. Utilize resort computer systems to thoroughly document check-in/check-out for pets and any specific instructions or observations associated with the pet. Manage the financial needs of the resort by maintaining accurate balances through collection of client transactions, following all cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing procedures. Excellent customer service skills and an exceptional level of communication in a professional manner. Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and other teammates. Demonstrate ability to show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect. Utilizing standard office/business equipment. Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts. Experience with kennel software is preferred. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Possession of organizational skills. Critical thinking – Understanding logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment and ability to manage stressful situations.
