The Recording Specialist will be responsible for processing the recording of the required Security Instruments and other recordable documents on transactions that have closed. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The Target Pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00.
What you’ll do:
Complete a visual quality control check of the recordable document, initiate QC fails and remediation efforts in the event of a QC fail, calculate appropriate recording fees, send to the appropriate county either through electronic or manual methods and follow up to ensure recording has occurred. Remediate defects that have been returned from the county. Provide excellent communicate both verbally and in writing to clients, customers and vendors. Daily follow up of the appropriate task within the company’s Title and Settlement System(s). Professional and accurate communication maintained when interacting with clients, customers and vendors. Communication to management of problem areas and trends that require attention. Consistently follow the Standard Operating Procedure as it relates to the recording processes. Ensuring that the Title and Settlement System(s) of record (i.e. Ramquest application) is appropriately noted each and every time a transaction is followed up on and that Tasks are appropriately completed. Ensuring that the service level standard of having all documents sent to the county within 24 hours of disbursement is adhered to. Perform other duties as assigned.What you’ll need:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Two (2) to five (5) years’ title, settlement services or mortgage experience. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, etc. Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information. Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions. Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short-term basis (longer than one month). Ability to add subtract, multiply, divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines. Ability to complete routine forms, use existing form letters, and/or conduct routine oral communication. Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information. Ability to communicate with individuals utilizing a telephone; requires ability to hear and speak effectively on the telephone. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately audibly, and quickly.
