**UW Medicine Enterprise Records and Health Information** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Records Analyst 2-Release of Information** .
**WORK SCHEDULE**
+ Days, 8:30-5 pm
+ Mondays - Fridays **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
+ Responsible for assisting with electronic records integrity, access, release initiatives, and audits, including the legal medical record and designated record sets throughout units and teams in ERHI
+ Responsible for ensuring accurate analysis of records being released and assists with the prevention of unauthorized disclosures
+ Assists with quality review and audits of electronic content to ensure **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**
+ Enterprise Records and Health Information (ERHI) is a Shared Service Department that supports all aspects of the patient medical record from governance, integrity, documentation timeliness, completion, clinical coding, billing, release, and tracking to management of access, retention, and destruction.
+ ERHI provides advice and resources related to the lifecycle management of all UW Medicine records
+ ERHI is an integral part of the Enterprise Revenue Cycle and has a unique role in the organization that supports both clinical and operational activities. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Respond to general questions and serve as an organization, department resource, and subject matter expert for release of information guidelines, procedures and workflows.
+ Develops in-depth knowledge of ROI educational resources and the utilization of them to best support training initiatives.
+ Creates training tools and staff assessment materials, including, but not limited to: manuals, presentations, scripts, competency tests, checklists, job aids, and evaluation rubrics.
+ Trains staff on utilizing systems/applications: Epic and Legacy Data Management systems, ROI workflows, ROI compliance HIPAA, Federal and State compliance guidelines and regulations.
+ Provides one-on-one targeted training for onboarding new and current staff, promoting a collaborative environment in a constructive and proactive manner.
+ Provide education and training on the results of internal audits
+ Recognizes training opportunities and actively participates in improvement plans to successfully implement new system enhancements and workflows.
+ Performs and monitors ROI quality audits, analyzes results, and creates audit reports.
+ Ensure records released are analyzed in accordance with the parameters of the requests and include reviewing content and verifying completeness of the record before release.
+ Assists ROI Supervisor in analyzing trends in organizational and individual performance data and uses information to adjust and recommend enhancements to training content and user experience. To identify and develop targeted opportunities for staff development.
+ Keeps ROI Supervisor informed of all quality assurance/training activities through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
+ Analyze records to ensure information necessary is provided in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Tracks and reports on quality metrics.
+ Collaborates with other UW Medicine stakeholders and acts as subject matter expert regarding releasing records **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND three years of health information management-release of information, records analysis experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted, year-for-year, for required education.
+ Release of Information compliance/regulatory knowledge and experience processing Medical, Patient, Judicial, Law Enforcement, Insurance, and Legal requests.
+ Extensive knowledge of HIPAA, Federal and WA State RCWs regulations and guidelines
+ Training and auditing experience
