Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Records and Statistical Clerk for the Pediatrics Department at New Jersey Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Records and Statistics Clerk position is to work under the direction of the head clerk and in accordance with WIC policies and procedures, provides certification and clerical client services to WIC enrolled women who are pregnant, postpartum or breast feeding, and to infants and children up to age five (5).
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Interviews patient or patient’s representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for WIC. Performs client intake and certification services (including voter registration and WIC rights & Obligations) in accordance with WIC policies and procedures. Makes face-to-face and telephone appointments using both the WOW scheduler and the site specific appointment template. Receives WIC participants at the front desk, checks them into WOW database and ensures that participants have the necessary documents to receive services for which they are presenting. Answers the telephone, checks voice mail messages and returns calls in a timely manner as necessary. Tests hemoglobin levels and takes anthropometric measurements on all participants as deemed necessary in accordance with both hospital and WIC policy and procedures Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
