Records Management Specialist
Kelly services is hiring for a highly organized and detail-oriented **Records Management Specialist** in the city of San Bernardino CA. This position is responsible for overseeing the management, retention, and legal compliance of city records. The ideal candidate will have experience in records management, public records requests, and subpoena processes. Location: San Bernardino, CA 92401 Pay: $28-33p/h DOE Schedule: 7:30am-4:30am **Key Responsibilities** : + **Records Management** : Maintain centralized city records, ensuring compliance with legal retention schedules, indexing, and storage. Operate imaging equipment for digital records. + **Public Records Requests (CPRA)** : Receive, process, and respond to CPRA requests in a timely and legally compliant manner. Maintain tracking system and train staff on its use. + **Subpoenas/Summonses** : Handle subpoena requests, ensure proper documentation, and assist with legal document preparation. Work closely with the City Attorney for compliance. + **Support to City Clerk** : Assist with preparing City Council meeting agendas and attend meetings as needed. **Key Skills/Requirements** : + Minimum of 3 years of experience in records management, preferably with a computer-based document management system. + Minimum 1 year of experience with records management principles, California Public Records Act, and legal document handling. + Proficiency in document imaging equipment, database management, and office software. + Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. + Ability to work collaboratively and independently. + High School Diploma or equivalent, with coursework in records management.
