Job Summary:
The Recovery Coach is responsible to works as an integral part of the Center team. Recovery Coach will perform non-clinical supportive services to individuals in or seeking recovery that walks through the Center doors. Duties include but is not limited to the following: embrace members in the Center and support them while there are identifying needs that led to build their recovery capital. Recovery Coach will collect minimum information, but enough to build recovery capital to members, such as housing application, probation support, resume building, social security, DTA and many others supports. This position may require a flexible schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide information and referrals to assist members with needed services. Oversee the Center activities and social events and scheduling. Work Closely with Program Director, Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator to connect recovery community members with PIER Recovery Center volunteer program. Conduct outreach to individuals within the recovery community via recovery programs, jails and prisons, support networks and by attending networking events. Enhance community awareness through media outreach and attending community events with PIER Recovery Center information packets. Keep all required documentation up to date. Participate in an on-going collaboration with other programs providing educational, employment and medical support to people in recovery. Participate in workshops related to wellness and recovery engagement. Have better than average experience using a computer and required software . Participate in data collection for reporting and evaluation purposes. Participate in support groups when needed. Participate in monthly supervision with Program Director. Be able to work flexible hours including weekendsMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, reasonable exceptions may be made in certain situations. Must have lived experience and 2 years acknowledged continuous sobriety Experience and knowledge regarding the addiction treatment service system.
