Position Summary:

The Recovery Coach works to provide both individual and group recovery services to assigned WestCare program participants who have been diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder and/or mental illness. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

Essential Job Functions:

Educates and refers clients to community agencies and businesses that appropriately address their need for food, shelter, clothing, employment, transportation, social service benefits, etc.; Provides services that promote recovery and resiliency; Assists assigned program participants with establishing or re-establishing support systems within their community; Acts as advocate on behalf of assigned program participants to improve access to needed services, information, and/or treatment; Participates in clinical staffing decisions regarding the program participants current strengths, resources, and their need for additional resources; Completes documentation of services on provided forms and submit billing in a timely manner; Provides support and supervision to assigned program participants; Assists other WestCare staff as needed to promote cooperation and portray a professional image to the community; Embraces and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; Performs any other duties as assigned.
