Recovery Coach

Under the direction of the First Episode Center's (FEC) Program Supervisor and within an interdisciplinary team, the Recovery Coach coordinates, monitors, and provides direct services in the community, including professional counseling services, assessments, case management, support and crisis interventions to the individuals and families enrolled in First Episode Center. This includes, but is not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive enhancement therapy, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, substance abuse, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-informed care and other modalities specific to first episode of psychosis. Services are to be provided both at the FEC and also in the community.
Annual salary range: $56,160 - $82,846
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing mental health psychotherapy that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Specialized Training:
Prefer specialized training in chemical dependency assessment and treatment.
Certification/Licensure:
Must be licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or
Must have either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and be able to obtain a LCSW, LPC or LMFT within 36 months of employment in position.
Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid AZ issued driver's license in good standing, and must carry the AZ legally required minimum insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times.
Must be able to provide a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Requires knowledge of chemical dependency and mental health and ability to facilitate individual, family group counseling sessions with a dually diagnosed population.
Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English, including professional level usage of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
